Collection: Silk and Blends

Here you can find our collection of in-house dyed silks and silk blends. Explore and indulge in our lovely, softest rovings and tops. We currently carry the following bases: 

1) 100% Tussah Silk - KnitzAndPearls Fiberworks is known for our one-of-a-kind put up of dreamy silk. No one else dyes tussah like we do! Each braid is approximately 2 ounces, and is wonderful for blending or spinning. A very short staple means that it is best spun from the fold. 

2) 50/25/25 Merino/Bamboo/Tussah - Blended and sourced in the UK, this blend of fibers is incredible dreamy, airy, and soft. Treat yourself to luxury, and fiber done up so well that our customers say it practically spins itself!

3) 50/50 Yak/Silk - This is one of the most luxurious blends on the market. Our 50/50 yak and silk is an additionally rare find due to the yak being bleached, allowing it to seep in our high quality dyes. Yak is naturally gray, and does not allow for a full range of dyeing. We are proud to be one of the only dye companies in the United States to carry this exotic base. Staple: 1.2-2 inches. 18.5 - 21 micron
