April 2024 Newsletter
Hello Everyone!
I hope this newsletter finds you well! It finds us well, but we are once again having a snowfall outside. That’s just Spring in Wisconsin. Ope!
It’s April! I just wanted to pop on here and let you know what’s happening this month! I am frantically working on dyeing lots and lots of beautiful fluff n stuff after our inventory was nearly cleared out by the AMAZING crowd at our Fox River Fibers trunk show last month! We love you, Big Bend! Thank you for the support and opportunity!
Next week on April 8th, I will be a vendor at the Madison Knitter’s Guild monthly meeting. I am focusing on lots of YARNY things to bring! The speaker for this month’s meeting is Tanis Gray, so it’s sure to be a good one!
RIGHT after that I will be leaving on the 10th to head down to Greencastle Indiana for the Greencastle Wool Show. We’re so excited to see our Indiana friends again after taking last year off!
And finally, on April 27th and 28th I will be a vendor at the Great Midwest Alpaca Festival/Wisconsin Alpaca and Fiber Festival at The Alliant Energy Center in Madison Wisconsin! Last year the alpacas were simply adorable and I can’t wait to see them again, plus our lovely local customer’s! Alpaca Fest is about 10 minutes down the road from my house, which makes it a favorite event!
What’s New in the shop?
SOOO MANY EXCITING NEW THINGS!
I am currently dyeing up the first run of our new WEAVING YARNS!
I have also been experimenting with silk hankies, and have a new fiber base on the way.
We also have introduced our decadent collection of fiber by the ounce (a 40/20/20/20 blend of merino/bamboo/mulberry silk/faux cashmere) and promptly sold out! I have reordered the first colorway, KnitzAndPearls Purple, and two more colorways to boot! I am anticipating these arriving just before the Alpaca Festival.
As for some old favorites, I have reordered our fluffy 19.5 merino wool! That should be here in the next few days and I am excited to dye some and bring it along to Greencastle.
We’ve seen great success with our new colorways Peachy Keen Jelly Bean, Pretty Purple Plumes, and Glass Houses, but I have more colorways on the way for you! Wild Violet and Honeyed Plum are the newest, but no spoilers!
Anyway and anyhow, this is a short lil newsletter tonight, but hopefully they get just a bit more regular (like more often than, you know, a year apart) and you’ll be able to see more of us! For the latest on KnitzAndPearls, follow us on Instagram and Facebook!
